Alessandro/Amerila , I didn't forget about you. Actually the records I have
from Jalpa are from 1884 to 1903. There are definitely Vitelas and Macias in
Jalpa. Wish I could be of more help.

Amelia if you say your grandmotehr died in 1960, then that is fairly recent
and you probably can get that from civil records in Jalpa. If you have any
friends or relatives in Jalpa, I suggest you ask them for that great favor.

I can be of help but only in guidance, Jalpa is an interesting place of history and border confusion,
Jalpa belongs to the Parish of Tabasco, zac a little more north of Huanusco. Also Jalpa use to be
part of Huanusco before being broken into two. I use to have tabasco films and found A LOT of people
from Jalpa in the south. Just because a place is limited films doesnt mean people didnt travel far to get
baptised. Always check the surrounding parishes for clues. Just my thoughts. -Daniel MDC

Thanks Mercedes:

I'd like to ask you if by chance in your reccords you have or have seen Juana Petra VITELA VILLARREAL born abt 1892 in Jalpa, her parents were: Francisco VITELA and Juana VILLARREAL SALAS. Also if you have marriage reccords there could be Francisco and Juana's marriage abt 1890. Francisco's parents were Gorgonio or Aurelio VITELA, and Fermina or Emigdia LOPEZ.

Unfortunately I don't have any sibling for Francisco Vitela, but according to the civil registrations of his sons he says he is from Jalpa and that he was born in 1866-68.

About Juana Villarreal I do have siblings who were born in Rancho de Ayo, Jalpa, Zac. or just Jalpa, and they were the following: Carmen, Trinidad, Natividad, Maria and my Juana that was born in 1877 in Jalpa. Her pareents were Juan Villarreal and Dionisia Salas also from there. I don't know if Juana was the oldest or youngest, but her parents could be married abt. 1870-75

Hope all this information be helpful to find their roots, and that you or anyone can help me too.

Thank you Mercedes in advance.

Alessandro, I will look for the below in the civil records. Here is the
issue, the years do have an index and if Juana Petra is on the index then it will
be easy to find. However, the index is mostly not always accurate, e.i. my
grandfather was listed incorrectly and I had to go through each record to find
him. I will definitely look at the index and if I find it I will let you know.

Hey, Alessandro, I opened your file, but I was unable to find your Apodaca ancestors. En que pagina se encuentran?

Saludos

Alessandro, I looked in the civil birth records index from 1891 - 1893. I
did not see a Juana Vitela listed. This is not to say it is not there, as I
mentioned the index is mostly but not always correct, or perhaps you have the
wrong year.

Thank you Mercedes, I'll keep searching. I'm afraid the year is correct.
