Dear Group,
Due to the holidays, I hadn't returned to working on the new familysearch in a few weeks.  The format has apparently changed a bit.  I'm having difficulty finding a way to enter a range of years for birth, marriage, etc.  Is it no longer possible to do?   Thanks so much for your help,
Alice

Family Search

Alice

I assume you are referring to https://www.familysearch.org/ (which is for the general user) and not https://new.familysearch.org (also called New Family Search, which is mainly for Church members).

After you enter a name on the main search screen, click on one of the life events on the line immediately below the name. This allows you to enter a location and a date range. You can enter any range that is appropriate; to search only in one year, enter the same year for the beginning and ending years.

After the search results come up, you can change the range, if needed, to narrow or broaden the time period as needed. You may need to click to the "Refine your search" link to make this feature visible.

Family Search

George,
I was starting wrong by scrolling down to browse by location first and clicking US, Canada, Mexico; then to collection name.  Thanks so much for your help.
