Juan's son was Mateo who accompanied him. Juan was a widower. Could this be Mateo?
I have seen Hernando referred to as Fernando.

What archive did you search? Was this through google? Juan married the grand daughter of Alonso
Albernoz de Sosa(grandson of ANdres Tapia) and Beatriz Navarro Rodriguez ( grandaughter of the Conquistador)
Juan's other son Francisco wound up marrying Martin Zavala's great niece Juana Sepulveda.

Thanks,

Arredondo - Ruesga

Esther:

You ask: What archive did you search? Was this through google?

Do you mean for the records? All pasajeros a Indias records are available online through Archivos Espanoles en Red. The link is in the links section.

As far as the map of where Arredondo and Ruesga are in Spain, I looked at Michellin Maps online:

http://www.viamichelin.com

You can choose Spain and then simply type Ruesga in the city name field.
