Found this map of the "Puerto de San Francisco" by Juan De Ayala of the pacquebot San Carlos. This is a detailed map of the San Francisco Bay year 1775.

The dark shaded area is the water and the light shaded area is land. The mouth or entrance into the bay is as the bottom.

This map is complete with reference points. Point D is "Almejas" at the bottom. Point B is Isla Angel (Angel Island). There are so many other points.

On the Juan De Ayala expedition to the San Francisco Bay area. When he reached point almejas near the entrance to the bay, he had described being greeted by natives that came out in canoes and says they were "hombres y mujeres con su color blanco, pelo rubio, ojos azules."

I had referenced finding this on page 29 year 1775.

Found something interesting. Currently I live in San Mateo, CA. I was just curios and was reading the exploration diary of explore Gaspar De Portola who arrive to the San Mateo area on October 27, 1769.

He describes they came across abandoned dwellings of indigenous peoples. When they went in to browse they were infested with fleas. So the place of the dwellings was named "Rancho De Las Pulgas (fleas)" of San Mateo. Which today is a long hilly street called "Alameda De Las Pulgas" of San Mateo. Where I went to Grammar, Middle and High School at. It is also the area where Tom Brady the quarterback grew up as he went to Catholic School Serra High School that is on on a road that branches off the street Alameda De Las Pulgas.
