I have uploaded the name index for a book that I recently acquired:

Frederique Langue's compilation of historical information on the mining "aristocracy" of Zacatecas in the XVIII Century.

He montado el indice onosmatico de un libro que acabo de adquirir:

La recopilacion de datos historicos de la "aristocracia" minera de Zacatecas en el Siglo XVIII por Frederique Langue.

Los Senores de Zacatecas; Pinedo family

Does anyone have this book? I see in the index that there's an entry for Pinedo familia on page 151. I'd like to see what these pages say if someone wouldn't mind scanning them. Thanks,

Chris Pineda

Los Senores de Zacatecas by Frederique Langue can be purchased through the Fondo de Cultura Economica online bookstore, which is listed in the Links section, under specialty bookstores.

You can also get the Miguel Caldera book there in Spanish as well as the "Breve Historia" series of books that have been published for each state, e.g. Breve Historia de Zacatecas, Breve Historia de Jalisco, etc.

Is it possible to send me an attachment of this since each time I try to save it to my files it freezes my computer up.. I'm doing something wrong but I would like to print it out since it's sideways and I'm having a hard time reading it...
thank you, Linda in Everett

Los Senores De Zacatecas

Linda,

I just printed it after it finished downloading as a pdf. I didn't try to save it; it will print from the file if you click on the little icon that looks like a tiny picture of a printer. It took a long time to download, since I have only a really slow dial-up, but it printed out quickly after that.

Accessing Senores de Zacatecas

Daniel:

After logging in to Nuestros Ranchos, go to the link:

http://www.nuestrosranchos.org/node/15662

Or go to Files - Books and Articles

You will see there are two files as attachments to that folder. The names are listed alphabetically with the first file A-L and the second L-Z.

You can rotate the document within Adobe. I suggest you save the file and then open it from your desktop as each one is 2MB...

If you are having trouble using the site, I suggest you download the Nuestros Ranchos User Guide which is available in the Files - References section.

Does it say anything about a person with the Camino surname in the book?
Thanks.

Camino in Zacatecas

Daniel:

Please go in and check the document. That is why I put the name index in there so that members can check to see if there are any names relevant to them. If you find one I will be more than glad to look up the page that the index references.
