Hi everyone. I am fairly new to this site and looking for anyone with Escobedo's in their family tree. I have my genealogy traced back to around 1820 but have not had much luck getting more information. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Are your Escobedos from Zacatecas? I have Escobedos in my lines, and I think they originated in Monte Escobedo, Zacatecas.

Yes I do. That seems to be the only place I can find any of them but my grandfather thought we may have come from Jalisco but wasn't sure. What are the names of some of yours? The names I know that came there are my great grandfather Teodoro Escobedo who married Francisca Ortiz and was born in Guadalupe, Zacatecas and had brothers named Enrique and Leonardo and a sister named Manuela. Their father was named Gabino and was married to Isabel Reyes. Gabino was born in 1838 to Estevan Escobedo and his mother was also named Francisca. There are more names but those are the ones I am concentrating on right now. The cities that I know they lived include Noria and Monte Escobedo. My grandfather said we came from a mountain and almost everyone there was an Escobedo. (Monte Escobedo?)
