I'VE BEEN TRYING TO FIND THE MARRIAGE OF MARIA DE SAN JUAN ESPARZA TO A JOSEPH VELASCO IN AGUASCALIENTES. MARIA WAS BORN 8/8/1707 AND DIED 11/1/1778 IN MALPASO. HER FATHER WAS DIEGO ESPARZA AND TERESA LOPEZ. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Some information

I have looked at all the matrimonial investigations in the city of Aguascalientes through the end of 1726 (I'm making an index; the index for MI's prior to 1720 is posted here at NR), there is no matrimonial investigation for them in that period.

Based on typical age at marriage, they could have been married in the mid-1720s.

They could also have been married later, especially if it is a second marriage for the bride, or possibly elsewhere.

For some reason, not all marriages seem to have been recorded, nor are there matrimonial investigations for all marriages. There are matrimonial investigations for some couples who are known to have children, but no marriage has been found.

Follow-up for 1727/28

I've finished going through the Aguascalientes Matrimonial Investigations for 1727/28, and unfortunately, Joseph Velasco and Maria de San Juan Esparza were not found.

I've not posted the file yet, I am planning to go through at least 1730 before doing so.
