Hola Profesor, Estoy segura que los de mas membros estan pensando lo mismo que yo. Si es posible comprar nomas un tomo y no toda el coleccion. Por mi parte, mi interes esta en el Tomo 6 de las familia altenas (Gutierrez-Hurtado de Mendoza.

If you are researching both male and female lines, you may want to
reconsider. Only the male lines with that surname are included in that
family's chapter. I jumped from one Tomo to another as I was hunting down
either the female's lineage (if married into the family), or the daughter's
descendents (within the husband's chapter, if it existed).

I should have searched more especially since I just ordered some book from the U of C. I took classes there and I'm on their mail list. I will access the website and look again. You are most welcome! The University libraries can be an amazing resource, although the conditions of use for non-students, or non-alumni, can be daunting. At UC Berkeley, for example, for a member of the public to get a library card is $100! For a UC alumni, it is free.
Worldcat is a very useful resource, but it does not cover all libraries. An omission is the California State Library, which has an amazing genealogy collection in the Sutro Branch in San Francisco
Hi George, I did call the Univ of Chicago and found out they do not lend to individuals but to Universities or Libraries. He suggested I call my local library and request the book. I called this morning and ordered it! It is in stock and he has ordered it for me---should take a couple of days to get to local Library. Hopefully, I will be able to get it. I'll let you know.
