If I did everything properly, I just uploaded information from my family
tree around the Tlaltenango area. I must preface that this information could
not have been complete had it not been for the generosity of sharing from
Helyn.. Also, since I am relatively new at this, please forgive some
inconsistencies that I discovered I did early on.

Also...for those of you who have a connection to Coahuila, I have included
my Villarreal lines from that area.

I would be very interested if someone else from this group is also
related....

Esperanza
Chicagoland area.

Hi Esperanza!
I don't know if I asked you this but what part of Coahuila is your family
from. I have done research for Sierra Mojada and Parras de la Fuente.

thanks

Most of my family is from a small town known as Villa Union, formerly known
as Rosales, and before that...as Gigedo. It looks like the Bermea/Rios and
possibly Bermea/Flores were originally from Nadadores...they were among the
original Tlacaltecos brought in to "tame" the Indigenous people already there.

Later settlers appeared to have been given land grants shortly after the war
of independence...and many came in from Nuevo Leon, in particular the
Villarreales/Trevinos/Elizondos. I suspect in part, to protect the very open
borders from the continuous raids of the Apaches/Comanches. My aunt tells me a
story about her aunt (or great aunt) being killed in one of these raids.
