I've done no research in this area and was wondering if possibly someone
in the group might recognize some of these names:

married TEODORA JIMENEZ, daughter of SRA. MARQUEZ. She was born in
maybe El Valle de Guadalupe, Jalisco, Mexico, and died January 1945 in
Santa Paula, CA.

Child of ESTANISLADO MARQUEZ and TEODORA JIMENEZ is:
i. MATEO2 MARQUEZ, b. 21 September 1898, Ajiji, Jalisco, Mexico;
d. 15 November 1966, Santa Paula, CA; m. JUANA GARCIA; b. 22 October
1905, Jaen, Jaen, Spain; d. 27 December 1997, Santa Paula, CA.

Not sure if this applies to this record, but with my husband's Mexican relatives, often the birth locate of Maine was mis-indexed for Mexico.

Yes, I also saw somewhere that certain Social Security records contain ME for Mexico. I saw that in some of my relatives' records and know that for sure they never even visited Maine, much less were born there.
