Pedro Covarrubias was Born in Nayarit

This is an interesting twist that takes you to a new place (Nayarit). You will have to order the relevant films from Nayarit to get further back since neither of these extractions appears to have the names of the parents of Fernando Covarrubias or Micaela Avila. I would suspect from the fact that they ended up in Cartagenas, Totatiche which is the ancestral home of the Covarrubias (owned by a Pedro de Covarrubias back in the early 1600s) that this Fernando and Pedro Covarrubias are descended from the same bunch, made their way to Nayarit and then back, but we will need to find the paper trail to prove it.

Pedro Covarrubias and Tomasa Hernandez

Marina:

Welcome to the group. I do not see a genealogy posted for you and without dates and place names, names are not very useful in genealogy... particularly names as common as Pedro Covarrubias.

I think I have found your great-grandparents' marriage record. One piece of advice: you should begin compiling this information in a genealogy database program such as PAF or Legacy and source and annotate every addition you make to your database very well, with dates, placenames, alternative spellings for names, etc. otherwise you will end up getting lost in your search.

This is from familysearch.org.
