Mendozas

Daniel,

You still do not state the dates (and maybe even locales) of activity, and
other items that may be helpful for further research/linkages to be
developed.

Anna Sanchez de Mendoza and Juan Becerra y Hurtado de Mendoza
would of been born ca. 1550-1540 possibly in Mexico City. I've heard that Juan Becerra's father was a conquistador but have not found any proof nor if Juan was the grandchild of the Viceroy Antonio de Mendoza through Juan's mother Hurtado de Mendoza. I do know for a fact that these are related to the same Hurtado and Sanchez de Mendoza. There weren't many conquistadores with Mendoza correct me if Im wrong but only 3-4 were Mendozas and arrived in Mexico City. I got this from Gary Felix's website. I've contacted Gary and said all Mendozas in early 1500's Mexico come from the same lineage. Im not sure if I remember correctly that he said the patriarch of the Mendozas in the Americas was Juan Hurtado de Mendoza or Diego Hurtado de Mendoza. Since this family was involved not only in Mexico, but as well as Peru, Eqcuador, Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Panama. I guess at least one person represented the family almost everywhere.
