  • Interpretations of Aguascalientes Baptisms 1726-1752
By Stuart Armstrong | Sun, 2009-08-23 12:45

I completed the transcriptions of Aguascalientes christening records
up to 1752. These records (1726-1752) were from la hacienda de
Santiago de Guadalupe, feligresía de la Villa de Aguascalientes. After
that, the films continue with records from San Miguel de los Albas.
After doing a few of these I found no family connections in San
Miguel, so I have abandoned those transcriptions and do not plan to
continue them. The transcriptions are complete as far the Santiago
group goes.

I have uploaded the entire file 1726-1752, with some minor
corrections. I don't know if I uploaded it right or not, as I can't
find it yet. My THANKS to Angelina Markle for enhancing the format of
the earlier submissions. If you want to do the same with the master
file, it would be appreciated.

I don't seem to be able to find the natural continuation of these
transcriptions. The next group for Santiago starts in 1662 after a
10-year gap. Maybe they're under Sagrario or maybe they don't exist.
Still looking. Meanwhile, I'm processing some less complete selected
transcriptions done by my father-in-law. Eventually, I'll resume some
more transcriptions of my own and post them as before.

I also have a question. My entire database, using "The Master
Genealogist" program, contains to date about 19000 persons and more
than 71000 detailed source citations. The program is highly
customized, so the only way to see everything is with The Master
Genealogist. However, it makes a fairly good export to PAF via GEDCOM.
The PAF file that results is about 28 Megabytes with details for
living persons suppressed. I hesitate to share it because it contains,
as everybody's database does, some un-proven junk. I would appreciate
any feedback about whether to upload it.

One other item. Thank you George Fulton for your Aguascalientes
Matrimonial Information Extractions 1600's. I expect to find
these useful.
