Hello,

My mother and father's families left Leon, Guanajuato and Aguascalientes, AGS shortly after the Mexican Revolution in 1916. As I understand, my mother's family left Aguascalientes on November 29, 1916 and crossed into the U.S. at Eagle Pass, Texas. My father and his brother left Leon, GTO a year or two later to follow my mother's family.

We have an oral history that is pretty obscure before 1870 of my maternal and paternal grandparents and great grandparents.

My Grandfather was Adrian Lozano and he was born in 1870. He was married to Maria Saucedo who I understand was born around 1881. I would guess that they were married before 1900 probably in Teocaltiche, Jalisco? Maria's parents were Dioinicio Saucedo and Casimera Perez. I have no details on them.

I am looking for information on the Lozano and Saucedo names from Leon de las Aldemas, GTO and Teocaltiche, Jalisco that may lead to information and relatives of my Grandfather Adrian Lozano.

Also, as we understand my grandfather may have been adopted by Joseph and Catrina Avila. I am not sure what their relationship was to my grandfather's family and how old my grandfather may have been when he was adopted.

Any information would be appreciated.

Lozano's

Hi Ray. I have been working on my family history and have come across the name Lozano. My family comes from Zacatecas and Jalisco but I have not found much luck finding anything on Lozano's for that region. My great great grandfather was named Gabino Escobedo and I believe his mother was named Maria Francisca Lozano. I will keep you names in mind and if I find or come across anything interesting I will share it with you. Good luck!
