By gpf13 | Tue, 2011-03-15 21:39

New records for the states of Guanajuato, Michoacan, Morelos, and Puebla were posted at Family Search today.

Coverage varies for these states (not all towns are included), and not all records for each posted town are included.

Michoacan is included with Guanajuato.

I am very happy to hear Michoacan images were added. Could you tell me which
towns from Michoacan were included with Guanajuato. Thanks

Thank you George:

Eventhough FamilySearch has not uploaded all the records for Michoacan or Guanajuato it
is step, at least it has begun. Guanjuato: Im glad places like Santa Fe de Guanajuato,
San Felipe, SIlao and Salamanca have uploaded decent records. Some very important
lines established themselves in these parts. I can't wait until Michoacan in the future.
Puebla de los Angeles (Zaragoza) is also a very important archive that we can now view online.

Guanajuato

Daniel

I was hoping for Romita, San Francisco del Rincon, Leon, and Silao. There's just a little from Silao ... I guess I'll just have wait a little longer!

In the meantime, I've been looking at the Aguascalientes government archives. Some of the wills are real interesting, and quite useful!

Guanajuato

George:

I also await San Francisco del Rincon, Leon and the rest of Silao.
Nuestra Senora de Guanajuato (the other parish in Guanajuato) is also
very important. This and Santa Fe are extremely important in studying
the Obispado de Michoacan. I will await the day when Valladolid
de Michoacan (Morelia) is posted. I saw the uploaded couple of
church documents.

Some of the families I enjoy studying are the Marquesado de San Juan
de Rayas, Marquesado de San Clemente, Condado de La Valenciana
important families from Guanajuato.

Silao, Guanajuato is a good start, but...

Glad to see they are adding Guanajuato and Michoacan film. I was excited to see they started adding these major states. I kind of glanced through the films. I'm was hoping they had more of Silao. Hopefully they can add more film from there quickly. Adding Romita and Penjamo are om my wish list too. My mom's side is from there. As for Michoacan, couldn't seem to find Zapote de Parras. Maybe its under a different town? My Grandmother was born there, but went back to Guanajuato.

Michoacan

Rafael

When you click on the Guanajuato record set, links for both states (Guanajuato and Michoacan) come up; then click on the Michoacan link, and you're there.
