I've hit a wall. Augustin Carlos de Godoy and his wife: Maria Anna (or Mariana) Leogarda Lemus lived in Totatiche, Jalisco from about 1750 to the time of Lugarda's death, 31 Sept. 1785; Augustin was also deceased by 1798 (but I haven't located his burial). This couple, Augustin and Mariana Lugarda, had several other children including:
Juan Antonio; mar: Bernarda Sena Melgarejo and Anna Maria Avila

Maria Antonia
Joseph Calisto
Jesus de los Santos; mar: Bernardina Villalobos
Maria Gregoria; mar: Lorenzo Nunez

Hi Derdra, while researching my ancestors in Jocotepec Jalisco I ran in to an Augustin Godoy baptized April 8 1685 son of Joseph Godoy and Maria de Lipe.
There are other Godoy's.
I know it is a little before your Augustin, but you never know.

Hello Sylvia, I too am doing a majority of my research in Jerez and Tepetongo and can tell you that Carlos Godoy is a very common name for this area. in the 1800's I found that the Godoy was dropped from a lot of the names and they just used Carlos. I have a lot of Carlos on my tree but not an Augustin. I don't think that Lugarda is a very common name for that part of Zacatecas however.
Sorry I wasn't able to offer any information on Augustin.
