Juana Maria's paternal grandfather, Pedro Jph Covarrubias was baptized in Guadalajara Jalisco and married to Maria Juliana Lizarrares in Jalostotitlan Jalisco on 6/Jan/1790.
Pedro Jph Covarrubias had previously been married on 30/Jan/1775 in Jalostotitlan Jalisco to Maria Manuela Gonzalez Rubio. They had a daughter named Maria Juliana Covarrubias that was married on 6/June/1793 to Jose Domingo Padilla y Perez de Paredes. Domingo Padilla and Juliana Covarrubias are my ancestors.

Her family is related to me too. Julian Covarrubias and Pedro Jose Covarrubias were second cousins. The parents of Pedro Jose were Jose Antonio Covarrubias and Inez Guadalupe Gomez de Mendoza.
It is true that Maria Manuela Gonzalez Rubio was the daughter of Nicolas Hermenegildo Gonzalez de Hermosillo but she also used the surname Gonzalez Rubio because her mother was Maria Antonia Gonzalez Rubio.
