descendants from Zapotlan El Grande, Ciudad Guzman, Jalisco, Me
Yolanda, I do have ancestors who lived in Zapotlan El Grande but in earlier years mostly except for the Rolon family. My lines are Mendez and Gutierrez but they married into families that stayed there after mine moved on to Tamazula de Gordiano, Jalisco. One line my Mendez ancestor married into was the Sanchez de la Mejorada who dropped the de la Mejorada and became Sanchez, that's why your message caught my eye. My research is earlier, late 1600's to 1800 when they left Zapotlan El Grande. When you get the baptism record I will be happy to check and see if I have anything for the earlier generations. I have records from Zapotlan El Grande I haven't recorded yet in my files.

Well the genealogies he covers in depth are: De la Torre, Robles,
Correa, Sanchez, Nava, Gonzalez, Murillo, Carols, Rodriguez, Mejia,
Zuniga, and Salazar. Not Gutierrez. I went through and tried to find
Maria Ignacia de la Torre (1780) but the genealogies are very very very
user unfriendly and it would take a major research session (maybe a few
days worth) to search each page. Sorry,
