Hola Raza, I am trying to find out if Francisco Gutierrez de Hermosillo who married Maria Dolores Gomez de Mendoza on Nov.19, 1730 in Tepatitlan and Tomasa Garcia on Dec.03. 1714 in San Juan de Los lagos is the same Francisco Gutierrez de Hermosillo. I couldn't find the marriage in Tepatitlan to see if it state that Francisco was a widower of Tomasa Garcia but couldn't find it nor the record of the one in San Juan de Los lagos. Either I am blind or some body made an error.
Thank you for time and thank you Joseph.

Francisco Gutierrez de Hermosillo

Francisco Gutierrez de Hermosillo married Tomasa Garcia de Hermosillo first then Maria Dolores Gomez de Mendoza. I wrote a detailed book that studies the "Gutierrez de Hermosillo" family, which is my direct paternal line. It includes 13 chapter, one per family all the way back to the mid 1550's to the present. It's sold on amazon and is titles "Los Gutierrez del Rancho El Molino"

Los Gutierrez del Rancho El Molino, ensayo historico y genealogico de una familia alteños desde los 1570 al presente

Sergio,
I have bought this book and recommend it highly to others doing research in the area of Jalisco. I have found it to be extremely helpful because it is very well researched, gives specific dates and references, provides historical context, and it is easy to read. This book also serves as an example for how to organize our findings for use by others.

Thank you for writing such a wonderful book,
Deedra Corona

Gutierrez de Hermosillo

Thanks Deedra,

I spend over ten years investigating this family line, which is my direct paternal line. My goal was to use first hand knowledge as much as possible to prove these people existed and as you know since you bought the book, I also discuss subjects, such as slavery, land grants, capellanias and cofradias.

[Nuestros Ranchos] Gutierrez de Hermosillo

Does anyone know if this book has been printed in English? I am planning on buying the book. I can "read" the names, dates, and locations well enough but I can't read and understand the subjects such as slavery, land grants, chaplains and cofradias in Spanish. I would like to learn the history, too.
